Anti-IL6-Therapy to improve primary function of allogenic transplantations
Aim of the invention is the diminishment of delayed graft function in the first post-operative days. By a singular peri-operative application of the anti-IL6 receptor antibody a dramatical reduction of the serum creatinin concentration and recovery of primary kidney function was achieved. A higher serum creatinin level and thus an elevated IL6 level is a typical symptom after a transplant operation.
