Using the S 3 Heater-Cooler System 3T, you will be entirely independent of the cold and warm water supply in the operating room and will be able to change both, the temperature of the patient and the cardioplegia quickly.
The device contains 3 separate water tanks and 3 water circuits which can be used separately or simultaneously. The circuits 1 and 2, which operate using the same preset temperature, are mainly for controlling the patient temperature. Circuit 3, which has its own cold and warm water tank, has been especially designed for cooling and heating blood and/or cardioplegic solutions. The temperature of the cold and warm water may be preset and the tanks may be used at any time during operation.
This user-friendly feature ensures that cold or warm solutions may be delivered without delay.
An optional ice container is available which may be placed on top of the Heater-Cooler. The ice container which is integrated into the system enables a cooling of the patient’s temperature within a very short time, where desired.
Connecting a cooling/heating blanket to the Heater-Cooler provides an additional means of cooling or heating the patient. The Heater-Cooler can be operated and controlled via its control panel or two remote control modules on the S 3 control unit.
