Fraunhofer Institute for Wood Research WKI Webinar: "Numerical Simulation in Wood Science"

Numerical simulation is a powerful and efficient tool that can be utilized in wood research. If structure and properties of wood are correctly modeled, each new problem can be studied via models.

This allows us for new insights and understanding, testing and optimization of wood-based products. In this webinar, the use of finite element method in wood research will be discussed. Several of FE key features and some approaches to modeling of wood will be presented and some examples of modeling applications shown.

The 13th webinar of the Fraunhofer Institute for Wood Research WKI in Braunschweig, Germany will be held on April 16, 2013 in English.

Participants will receive a link to the event following free-of-charge registration.

The Fraunhofer Institute for Wood Research WKI has been organizing online seminars since November 2011 in order to promptly inform interested customers about current research results.
