Measuring in at only 2 centimeters, this slim device boasts of a 4.3-inch, 480 by 272 color display. Thanks to SVOX Mobile text-to-speech technology, the system’s voice prompts are particularly detailed. Some of its outstanding features include the gas station quick search function, traffic jam tracking via the most up-to-date traffic information, and a 3-D destination display.

By offering the MEDION MD 96050 Navigation System, Aldi is starting off with a multi-faceted navigation system. One look at the features and the price and it is clear that this little device stands right on par with the pricier basic models. Having map information on Central Europe available on a single 1 GB card is very handy. But even better is having information on all the big cities, an MP3 player, and a 4.3 inch picture viewer for looking at your vacation photos all right at your fingertips. A digital camera device must be SD-card formatted to be compatible with the MEDION navigation system.

Detailed map information for Western Europe can be found on a DVD; map information for Central Europe appears on a preinstalled 1 GB memory card. To add to the pleasure of the driving experience, the device is also equipped with its own MP3 player. Another highlight is its SVOX powered multilingual Travel Guide, which contains extensive information on 50 European cities and regions, from Paris to Rome to Algarve.

This device also comes with a picture viewer, making it easy to look at your favorite photos anytime on a vivid, photo-sharp color display. The screen display also guarantees minimal glare and maximum readability. The navigation system runs on a powerful 400 MHz processor, which, together with top-of-the-line text-to-speech software, assures that you will arrive at your destination.
