The international Internet of Things Community will meet on June 17th

Mario Campolargo, Director of the Net Futures Directorate at the European Commission, and Kevin Ashton, Co-Founder of the Auto-ID Center at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, will hold keynote presentations this year. Also the 3rd IoT-Week is organizing a business pitch contest for the first time. More information and rules for participation under http://www.iot-week.eu/business-pitch-contest

In line with current strategic developments in the Internet of Things, the programme of the IoT Week 2013 is based on four topics:

• High Level European and International Keynotes

• IoT technologies with several sessions on actual research undertaken on IoT architecture, IP and cognitive technologies, semantic interoperability, etc.

• IoT & entrepreneurship & business models

• IoT solutions as the essential and core ingredient and motor of the Smart Cities concepts

Societal challenges such as Privacy and Security, IoT and Ethics as well as IoT Governance will also be addressed.
This major European event on IoT technologies and Innovation and Businesses will take place on the sea side of Helsinki from 17-20 June 2013 at Scandic Marina Congress Center 6, Katajanokanlaituri, Helsinki.
